I have a Windstream (worst ISP on the face of the planet, and only ISP in my area) Wireless Modem, and I have my own personal Wireless router (the router can handle my videogames better), Recently my overall connectivity has being going down the hole. I think this is happening because both my Wireless modem and Wireless router share default gateways, making it to where I can only access the Modem webpage and not the Router webpage. I was wondering if there is any way to change the default gateway of my router so I can access its webpage (I need to access the MAC Filter tab).

My Router: AC 1200 DB Wi-Fi Dual-Band AC+ Gigabit Router, By Belkin
Modem: I can't find its name but,http://
that is an image of it.

Solution
I take it they are on the same subnet, as in both are administered from 192.168.1.1 or such. That is a big part of the problem.

Things to do (what I do often for people)
Leave the Modems network alone.
Change your routers network to something like 192.168.33.1 or .254 and the ip range to 192.168.33.100 - 200 (or less)

This creates a separate "network" for your devices.

Now if you goto 192.168.1.1 you get the modem and not your router.

If you need to, turn off the Modem to do this in your router. Once done, turn on the Modem and set your router into the Modem's DMZ, if possible. This gives your router an unimpeded access to the Internet without any of the overhead that normally routed traffic gets.

I have done that and it still takes me to my modem page rather than my router page. I even unplugged the modem from the router, but then I just had no connectivity.

I should have clarified, sorry, I am on a desktop, laptops are inferior for gaming IMO, the desktop has a wireless card installed, I disabled the wireless card and plugged the computer into my router directly, I also disabled the wireless option on the webpage for the modem, I am still taken to the webpage for the modem after all of this.
