Alright, so I'm very interested in getting into PC gaming. I've looked into this topic many times before, but migrated away from it each time. I'm still not quite sure where to start. My laptop has gotten way too old. How to pick out parts, compatibility wise and power wise. Could anyone give me some tips? Range is between 500 and 750? I've looked tutorials and builds up on the web, but have been questionably confused. Some help would be great.
Builds I've come up with and or edited are these two.

ninja'd :p Same basic idea

a cheaper case that is still white :)
the 4440 vs 4460 is 100mhz difference for $10 but i5 is for sure
R9 280 ofc
you'll want the 4 ram slots for future expansion
stuffed in the 2TB I am using since SSD is no go with budget :p
instead of extra TB of storage, you could spend it on getting a even higher quality PSU
