Hello guys, this is my first post here and I saw many similar threads regarding "is my PC good enough for X". I hope u guys aren't bored with this kind of thread or if there's anywhere I could post this question (like a joint thread or something) then do please send me the link/section. :D

Anyway I am planning to build a PC for gaming with medium budget around $400-500 (I don't live in dollar-countries so I'm just guessing the price). I am also a graphic designer but I suppose if I can play games, I can use the same spec for designing as well (Illustrator, Photoshop mainly).

Here is the spec which was suggested to me by a friend:
-ECS H81H3M4
-VGA Radeon R7 250x 1GB DDR5 HIS
-DDR3 8GB PC10600 VGEN (2x4GB)
-HDD Seagate 500GB SATA
-Casing Dazumba DVITO 681 PSU 450w
-Intel Haswell G3220 3.0GHz

I am not a total computer geek but I understand the basic, so from what I see I think it's decent enough with 8GB RAM. I might upgrade the PSU to 500w though for preparation if I want to upgrade the processor/VGA/RAM at later date. So what do you guys think? Any suggestion?

Oh additional info, since I am a fresh graduate and got a job, I am only playing limited selection of games, and I have no intention in playing future hardcore games. Games I play right now:
-PSE (forgot which version but the newest I think, it's my brother's game)
-The Sims 3/4
-Audition (online game)
-Dragon Nest (online game)
-Darksiders 1/2

That's all. Sorry if it takes a bit too long. Your answers are much appreciated!

Those bits your friend recommended are not great but are OK. I think the 250x will be better than integrated graphics.

If you had enough money, I'd recommend using the new G3258 cpu and a B85 motherboard.

But I'd try to get a better quality power supply. Which might eat up most of the other $100. Try a Seasonic 520W
instead of getting Radeon 250X,
it is better to use integrated GPU from intel haswell. its HD 4600 gpu can play any game you mentioned above

can you afford any cheap i5 haswell?
its 4 cores will be a huge boost for adobe software

btw, welcome to this forum, salam kaskus

@AMD Radeon: What cheap i5 Haswell I can look into? Gee hi I'm there too. LOL.

@i7Baby: I just checked, apparently G3258 is not yet available here. As for B85, B85 KILLER or B85M-HDS and what's the difference?
