Does anybody know, that will the Zalman ZM-NBF47 Northbridge heatsink(Official Website) fit in the Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 motherboard? I guess it should fit, but im not sure, because it looks like it could hit the caps next to it. Anybody knows for sure?

I used to have this cooler on some ancient NForce 4 motherboard (damn, those were hot chipsets). I remember it for being quite a problem for VGA cards, not so much the mobo capacitors. Almost any card with a 2 slot cooler was a no-go. Unless you are having extreme issues with NB cooling, I would not recommend installing this thing. Stock heatsink is small, yes, but does it job, especially in a case with good airflow.

I have the Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce x3 OC. Well this exact board has alot of nb,vrm etc. problems, and thats why i would like to cool the nb. It's the Rev 3.0 of the mobo. I've heard that the 1.0 and 1.1 are fine, but the 3.0 is notorious with problems. So with this mobo, the nb is small and it doesn't do it's job :D
