I am ditching my "ancient" PC and building myself new one for gaming. My budget is $600.

I want to be able to play 2013/2014 gaming titles at maxed out settings and play modded skyrim with enb at 1600x900 resolution. Will this system be enough for my gaming needs?

Thanks for replying. Based on your advice, I made some adjustments

CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI B85-G41 PC Mate ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair CSM 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Intel Core i3 4350 and XFX PSUs are not available in India and Corsair memory is pricey here. I will be using my old 1TB Hard Drive for now and later add 2 TB WD Drive.

So, what do you think about this build? Please suggest any changes or improvements that I can make.
I will be buying all PC components next month.

Thanks for replying in advance.

What about the corsair RM 550w? better quality than the CS and VS series and is available in India.

The i3-4130 actually beats the FX-6300 in a lot of games (including skyrim I think), but the difference between them is never a lot of fps. Also the i3 gives you MUCH better upgrade options for the future with the LGA1150 socket.

I don't think you'll be able to play heavily modded skyrim maxed out with either build, but at the same time I don't think you would be disappointed with the performance at all :)

Corsair RM series is out of my reach as any branded PSU here is sold at premium rates. And sellers here encourage people to use crappy PSUs that come with even crappier PC Cabinets.
I think I will stick with Corsair VS 550W PSU. I hope it will not damage my PC as I will be gaming for long hours and stressing it with heavy applications. And I will be using Corsair Cabinet as you suggested btw.

Thanks for answering. I love this forum and great community here. Much better advice and assistance than idiots here in India who call themselves 'tech gurus' or 'experts'.

The VS series is not dangerous, and loading it with a 170w GPU and a 54w CPU isn't going to push it too hard. Don't worry :)
