Hi guys. Can I use 2 case fans to use as a cpu fan with the hyper 212 evo ? i will be doing push and pull config... the speed of the 2 fans are 1300 rpm and it has a 3 pin connector.

if you know plz tell me!

Thanks !

Solution
Make sure that the 'pull' fan has about 10% higher CFM than the 'push' fan. This is hard to do because the fan that is connected to the motherboard fluctuates in RPMs. One way around this is to have the pull fan running at full speed moving air higher than the push fan (CPU fan) will deliver.

Not at that RPM I wouldn't, I suspect it won't have enough oomph. Here are the specs of the OEM 120mm fan:

Fan Dimension 120 x 120 x 25 mm (4.7 x 4.7 x 1 in)
Fan Speed 600 – 2,000 RPM (PWM) ± 10%
Fan Airflow 24.9 – 82.9 CFM ± 10%
Fan Air Pressure 0.3 – 2.7mm H2O ± 10%
Fan Life Expectancy 40,000hrs
Fan Noise Level (dB-A) 9 - 36 dBA dBA Reference
Bearing Type Long Life Sleeve Bearing
Connector 4-Pin
Fan Rated Voltage 12 VDC
Fan Rated Current 0.22A

so 1300rpm is to low ??

No. Your bios will register an error and shutdown.

hmm so can I use the stock fan that came with the 212 evo and use it as the push fan and my other case fan as the pull fan which is a 3 pin ??

ahm.. i dont really get it xD so should I better stay with the push fan only ?

The 'Push-Pull' done right will give you better performance. Make sure the 'pull' fan has a higher capacity in CFM than the max output of the 'push' fan (CPU fan), and let the pull fan run at full speed. Connect the pull fan directly to the PSU using a Molex cable (fan adapter cable).

why does the cfm of the pull fan have to be higher ? i dont get it...

It doesn't HAVE to be, they can be identical fans if you want. Ubrales is giving you the optimal configuration but if it's giving you too much of a headache just run them in sync...

Im just going to plug the pwm fan into the 4 pin and the pull(case fan) into the 3 pin!
