So I have the XFX Pro Series 1250W Black edition PSU, it's fully modular and, as far as I'm aware, based on the Seasonic X-Series 1250w psu. If it is based on the Seasonic PSU, and I wanted to buy some sleeved cables for my power supply (I know I could sleeve my own, but I don't have too much time atm), would cables designed for the Seasonic PSU work? (As in, would they have the same connector and safely give power to all of the components in my PC).

Thanks guys

The pin out / wire layouts might be different. I can't find any information online stating whether they are same or whether they are different.

You should NEVER use the cables from a different power supply.

That's why I'm posting here lol just to see if anyone else has done it :p  tbh I might just get universal cable extensions from Silverstone but I'm still not sure

This is why I was asking lol, I wasn't sure whether or not the Seasonic and XFX are the same power supply

Extensions are fine just no switching up.

Ok, so even if two power supplies are the same but branded differently, don't interchange cables as they could be slightly different?

Yes it's not a great idea.

Usually are somewhat different.

I would suggest contacting XFX directly.

I know I've selected an answer but this is a sort of follow up question, was just reading a review of my PSU on JonnyGuru and it says "that a sense wire is used for +3.3V, +5V and +12V." Would this sense wire thing still work if I used an extension?

Hi - Gopher is correct, contact XFX. Yes, same platform PSU, but often suppliers add or subtract
their own tweaks when contracting for a production run, and since those are usually (not always)
of a cost cutting nature, they don't disclose what those mods are.

Yeah, decided to either self-sleeve my current cables or just buy extensions, my last message being the deciding factor :)
