wondering if I should send them back . still unopened set 16g
parameters match except I found after I got them certified for intel. I'm running AMD.

Solution
The DRAM doesn't care what you put it in....all DRAM are individual sticks (they are 64 bit devices), when run on a dual channel mobo (2 or 4 sticks) they operate in dual channel which is based on the MC (memory controller, which in effect 'sees' the sticks as a single 128bit device - on a tri channel (1366 CPUs it is seen as a single 192 bit device) with the 2011 CPUs the MC will see 4 or 8 sticks as a single 256bit device. When you buy a 4 stick set, of itself it's not made as QUAD CHANNEL, but can be run in quad channel mode
