I am going to be building a new desktop very soon. I use it mostly for gaming including lots of strategy game. My favorite series is total war which I know is heavily cpu dependent. What kind of benchmarks/performance will I get out of this build? What are your recommendations?

CPU Cooling - Cooler Master Hyper 212
Storage - Samsung 840 Evo 250gb
GPU - EVGA gtx 780
PSU - Corsair hx750

if you are going to do just gaming not video editing go for Intel i5 or AMD FX series no need to buy i7 if you are going to do only gaming what about HDD? you have only SSD if you are going to install only OS on the SSD go for 120gb no need for that much you are gonna be left with the 65+Gb when you install OS on it and you dont need 16Gb buy only 8Gb no need for that much if you are not gonna do any editing

I just want to make sure this rig will last for a few years with only maybe adding another video card for SLI. I know the i5 is good for gaming for now but is there talk of games coming out taking advantage of more threads? Any talk of 64 bit games that will use more ram? What kind of performance can I expect if I go with i5 4690k, 2x4gb ram, and shrink the ssd and add a 1tb hdd? Especially in strategy games like rome 2 total war.
