CPU bottleneck for gaming?

I've got a HD 7870 GPU and a 760K CPU. My question is, is my CPU the bottleneck when playing some games. Like Ghost Recon Online is really CPU demanding and runs like shit on my setup. but Battlefield 4 runs fine. Would upgrading to the A8-6600K make a huge diffrence? Because I don't want to spend too much on this PC I don't use much

Even the A10-7850k would not be that much of an upgrade over the 760k. If you want a decent step up, you have to switch FX63xx/83xx or i5.

The FM socket desperately needs higher-performance CPU options if AMD is really discontinuing AM3.

you could try overcloking if your mobo - psu allows! what are they? also you will need an after market cooler, to gain some performance increase and avoid an upgrade for the time being.

The 6600k would be worse.

Overclock or platform change unfortunately.
