it has proven that weak CPU with better GPU makes better performance in gaming than strong CPU with weak GPU . i'd go for the 1st configuration no doubt . the difference in CPU won't be much of an impact on your gaming performance

faster by units of time you can't even feel . but with the other configuration he will gain noticeable performance n gaming . much performance actually .

these two cpu's difference in performance is irrelevant to gaming . you see. an i7 4700 mq equipped with gtx 850m on a msi laptop for example , is not as good as a amd a10 processor with a hd 8970m graphics card laptop . though the a10 processor is weaker in every aspect than the 4700 i7 mq from intel , the graphics card is the one making the difference in gaming

so it says on the specs . like wolfenstein : new order . which was said to work only on i7 computers . and i5's work it smoothly as a charm
name on game that is cpu sensitive more than gpu . and after you name it , your argument is irrelevant so the two specs are already i7 equipped . the performance of one is less than the other but the difference in GPU'S compensate that enormously
again : it's PROVEN that weak cpu + strong gpu perform better than strong cpu + weak gpu .

yes . but the GPU compensate that on a very large margin .you are correct on one condition : if the both laptops carry the same GPU.but when one of them is better in a very significant amount than the other , it weak cpu draws less performance of it and yet makes it better for gaming than the configuration you prefer
honestly , it has been proven for a lot of systems mobile and desktop :D just google it :D
