I upgraded my gpu from fx 6100 to fx 8350 and after that i was able to to enjoy battlefield i got 40 fps more what i used to get and everything was fine, but when i woke up next day i had 5 fps on loading screens and 5 fps ingame. This same problem accures on dead space 3 also. I was able to play with 130 fps for 1 hour and then just suddenly my fps drops permanently to 5 but it was kinda different because i managed to play 1 hour and on battlefield i was not able play a single second.

So what is the problem?

Specs:
windows 7 64bit
GPU: AMD hd7970
CPU: AMD fx 8350
8 gb ram

No 68C is too hot an FX-8350 they are generally rated at a max of 61C by AMD (although every chip is different which is why there is no official comment from them) I would worry at those temps, it would have been throttled down quite a bit. disable turbo and then play again and watch the temperatures. if you are still hitting 60+ then get an aftermarket cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo, I use it on my FX-8350 at stock 4.2Ghz with a max load of 48C

Gaming issues could be the CPU but I would check connections and make sure that your GPU is changing performance level on demand, it could be that the software has had issues and now it stays in low power mode.

I am pretty sure that I did install it correctly. I am using the heatsink which game with the cpu. I quess I did one mistake. I touched the bottom of the cpu while installing it because I forgot that there is already thermal compound at the bottom of the cpu so I left my finger print on the thing. So can this have any affect on the temps? Like compound not spreading properly or what?

And my temperatures are 23-35 °C While just browsing the internet and while gaming they are around 55-68 °C.
68°C was the max temperature. I dont know are these values normal but what I can say is that my old cpu the fx 6100 was running 20°C more always than my new cpu.

hmmm, your temps seem fine and no, leaving a fingerprint in the pre-applied thermal paste on the bottom of the cpu cooler won't affect it's performance.
