hey, i recently switched motherboards. my new one doesnt have an spdif input port, so i purchased one of these adapters. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cable-Tex-TosLink-Optical-Adapter-Adaptor/dp/B003WUHKA8
so i plugged the cable into the adapter and the adapter into the standard 3.5mm jack, however i cannot get it to work. i have tried all settings on my surround sound speakers, eg: arc, d-in, aux etc. but it wont work.
