Greetings.
My MB (Asus Maximus VI Hero) is constantly getting stuck at Q-Code 23 when i boot up. No signal is given to my monitors. Otherwise it works normaly, just have to press the reboot button a few times.

I read that this code often occurs after a failed overclock, which is correct in my case, and it was instructed that i should clear the CMOS. I have done that, 2 times.

It works the 2 first times, but the it occurs again. The Stock speed as you probably know, is at 3.5GHz on the standard i7 4770K's. Mine automatically gets overclocked to 3.9GHz at startup. I think this may be the problem, but after hours of navigating through the BIOS, i can't find out how to disable it.

I have tried to turn everything to "optimized Defaults" which overclocks it. If i manually set it at 3.5GHz, the MB still gets stuck on Q-Code 23.

I haven't seen any other thread here or anywhere else with this problem, so please help me out here.

Thanks!

That processor supports Intel Turbo Boost up to 3.9Ghz. That's not the same as overclocking. Even the non-K version of this processor (the i7-4770) supports this speed. See the link below:

That being said, have you tried removing the battery before moving the CMOS reset jumper? And also, are you waiting at least 10 seconds before you move the reset jumper back?
