Would a laptop with i5 4200U + NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M (2GB) or a laptop with AMD A-Series A10-5750M + AMD Radeon 8750M (2 GB) be better at gaming?

I think that the first one has a slightly better CPU and GPU but it's also more expensive, so I was wondering if the better experience in gaming is worth the extra money.

Let me just say this, Gaming Laptops have GARBAGE battery life, so as a laptop for school, you'll always ahve to be recharging it. If you want a Laptop for a school, get cheap one that only does word processing / note taking and has a 6-8 hour battery life. Then have a separate PC for gaming.

If you give us a budget and any specific things you need, we might be able to help you find a better one.

Both are decent. The 740 m is slightly better but not by much. the i5 has significantly better core performance. laptops do not stay relevant long though and you will get way more out of a desktop. I would consider it if you plan on doing much gaming.

Yeah I know, but I have to get a laptop for school so I'm stuck with these two setups.
