I downloaded a cheat table for Terraria from a friend but he has a shady past and is known to sometimes, although rarely, give viruses to friends. Is it possible for him to store a virus in a cheat table which wouldn't be picked up by avast? The cheat table works fine but I'm not sure if he got it from a reliable source or whether it's clean.

We only use the cheat table for local games before anybody gets any wrong idea. We wanted to make a war type simulation for us and a few friends but I'm pretty new to Terraria so I'm not really sure if there's a quicker way to get a lot of stuff quickly.

TL;DR: Can you store a virus in a Cheat Engine cheat table?
