Hi there,
I'm having to put new hard-drives in my music PC, its an i7 with 18GB RAM and a MSI X58M motherboard. I have a 3TB hard-drive for storage and files etc, and want to put a 512GB SSD in for programmes and OS... Does anyone know if my motherboard will have any issues picking up the SSD?

I'm not that up to speed on the insides of computers but want to do as much by myself as possible :)

Solution
Yes it will work ssd and hdd both use what is called a sata port and most mobos have atleast 4 of them and better mobos (like yours) supports 6/gb a second so your mobo can support an ssd perfectly fine.

I have 3 x 4GB and 3 x 2GB in it... Sorry, I meant 18GB... Worked fine before the HDs corrupted, although I had to replace one of the 4GB sticks...
