If I have two graphic cards and they both gave a minimum watt power supply of 650 watts, Do I get a 1300 watt power supply or Do I get a 650 watt power supply?

Solution
The highest-powered cards on the market are the R9-290X at ~300W peak each. A pair of those plus 100W for the rest of the system would require ~700W peak so a good quality 850+W PSU would be fine. (The components will almost never all hit their peaks simultaneously and will never do so for very long. The average power draw in this scenario would most likely be in the 500-600W range.)

Post your build. First you see how much the system actually uses then you can decide on a PSU and no you dont need a 1300w PSU.
You'll need around 800w. They give the recommendation of higher wattage PSU than the GPU needs because some people use poor quality PSUs. But going crossfire or SLI doesnt mean you have to double your PSU
