(NOT SOLVED)64gb micro sd card doesnt accept high quality pics and vids from Galaxy s5

I tried a new 64gb sdxc and sdhc and they both had the same issue. every time i want to transfer and high res pic or vid from the device to sd storage it shows the broken icon in the gallery, and even if i set it to automatically save to sd card same thing happens. 8gb and 16gb works fine.The card saves other things but not high res stuff. Ive tried the format in the phones settings already and no it still doesnt work. any help???

Is the high resolution picture and or video larger than 4 gigabytes?

If so the most likely culprit is that the 64 gigabyte card is formatted to Fat32, which has a maximum file size of 4 gigabytes.

Is it something silly like it's a class 4 slow card that doesn't support the write speed needed to record the video?

which SD card is it exactly?
Was the Sd card formatted in the phone?
Do you have a laptop or card reader for your pc that you can test the card with?

Its a micro sdhc samsung 64gb fresh out the box. when i got it i didnt try any formats i just put it in the s5 and went for it, then same problems happened so i formatted it in the s5 still having issues. the memory card works fine in the laptop but when it comes to using it in the s5 saving high res vids or pics they always crash, even if i transfer them from phone storage to sd storage. I looked up if the s5 can take 64gb sd card and it does. Could be my phone thats acting up but smaller gb micro sd cards work without a problem.....

It should not be this complicated. My guess is new phone has a defect. Bring it to where you bought it and have them figure it out or replace the phone.
