I'm thinking of picking up Asus Xonar STX sound card for my Sennheiser G4me Zero. But there are unified drivers and official drivers. Which one is better, and which one would you use? Also, within the official driver, would you use Version 7.12.8.1794 2011.06.27 update, or Beta Version 7.0.8.1821 , 2013.06.07 update? This one is confusing because the later driver, the beta version, has lower version number compared to 2011 version. Thanks.

Wondering if that was a misprint (the 7.0.8 and maybe should be 7.12.8), if me I think I would try both versions of the drivers and go with whatever sounds best to you - the beta should have some improvements for newer hardware

The official ASUS Driver essentially takes the generic C-Media driver and wraps their interface around it. The Unified driver does the same thing, but tends to be updated more often and be a bit more stable. Both should work fine, but I'd lean toward using the official one unless you have some sort of problems.
