Weird Dead Pixel?

I have recently purchased a laptop with an IPS display. The display has this little bright pixel in the desktop and if I move a window (such as a windows explorer or something) it gets brighter and if I move it away it gets dimmer. It only shows up during the desktop view.

In games or other full screen programs, it doesn't show up. So I have no idea if it's a dead pixel or a stuck one or what. Or it's a dust particle stuck between my screen protector. Very strange. Either way, any input is appreciated. Thanks.

It's not noticeable as it is at the top and doesn't show up when gaming so I don't even notice it most of the time but it irks me that I don't know what it is.

Tried that and didn't work. Tried the massage method as well. I think I might do an exchange but man what a hassle. What a weird pixel. Definitely not a particle or dust though. It is a brightish dead pixel.

My monitor has a dead pixel. This is probably less annoying than a stuck-on-white pixel, but it's right by the edge of the screen and I don't really care. I'm pretty sure it was there when I got it, I just didn't notice it. If more pixels die, then I will consider getting a replacement near the end of my warranty. It's too much trouble to get a new one just because of one silly dead pixel, LOL! I can live with it.
