I hope this is in the right category. I'm about to order my pc so I need an answer quick. The power supply I was going to buy said it did NOT have haswell support and I'm buying a haswell cpu. Does that mean I can't use it? The price also went up on it so could you recommend a power supply for this build under $70? I will be upgrading my graphics card to something like a gtx 870 after it comes out.

According to Antec, the following units are "fully compatible" with Haswell:

EarthWatts Green: EA-650 Green
EarthWatts Platinum: EA-450, EA-550, EA-650
High Current Game: HCG-750, HCG-900
High Current Gamer M: HCG-520M, HCG-620M, HCG-750M, HCG-850M
High Current Pro: HCP-750, HCP-850, HCP-1200
High Current Pro...

You can, but you'll want to disable CL6/CL7 states because they won't work.

I don't know how much power a GTX 870 will require. But 650W should suffice. This XFX 650W is under $70 after MIR. That's the best that I know of.

I would rather order from amazon or newegg. Would this power supply work well? SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W
If it will work well how would I disable CL6/CL7? And is there a downside to doing that? Thanks for your help.

It's an extra 15$ though. Is there a haswell ready 600w+ power supply you can gin under 75$? Including mail in rebates in the price ( if it has one)
