fx 9370 or core i5 4670k?

im like coteau above, ive always liked amd as they have served me well over the years and always been well priced, but the new fx9370 is just ridiculous as it consumes sooooo much power, and will only run well with water cooling too as it gets that warm!
so if i was to choose id jump to intel on my next build, especially for gaming

i5 4690K has much more on the upside as far as future upgrades for socket.
I like AMD and have the fx 8350. Only downside is the TDP and not much upgrade possibility on the socket as far as enthusiast CPU goes so far.

I like AMD to keep the competition on Intel but if I bought today I would have to lean towards the i5 4690K AMD fanboy aside.
