I'm using the exact same combination, I think it's the best honestly. MS Security Essentials could be an AVG Alternate though (It's also very good): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download

I use the combination of Webroot SecureAnywhere and Malwarebytes pro. Webroot has been very good to me and I like their tech support. If you are patient you can find Webroot at a very cheap price on special deals.
I swear by Malwarebytes "Pro" which is the paid version that will scan in real time in the background. Like Webroot, MBAM can be found at special deal prices but even the full price is a good deal as the "Pro" version is a lifetime license. BTW, Webroot is very fast and it is also sold in 3-user and 5-user licenses. Once you install it on 3, 4, or 5 devices the price looks much lower.
The big point in favor of MBAM is that their tech support forum is excellent.
