Hi, first time on the forum , i recently heard of the ROG PG278Q Swift monitor which has 1440p resolution and 144hz panel with gsync and what not. I dont want to put any SLI stuff or Crossfire, i want a single gpu card , some kind of 780 can do the job? I don't know you are the experts :)

Rest of the machine:
i7 4770k
z87 Sabertooth Asus mobo
8GB ram

Thats about it, i want my games to work between 60-144 hz, i dont have to max out settings, i can take a few down , main thing i want is 90+ fps on 1440 resolution. Is that possible and with what GPU?

Thanks :)

Take any recomendation with a grain of salt...as games (settings therein) vary. That said, your budget probably isnt unlimited...so i'd recommend a SuperClocked GTX 780 (http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GTX780-SuperClocked-03G-P4-2784-KR/dp/B00CUIVSNS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1404781438&sr=8-1&keywords=evga+gtx+780).

If you have the money, may want to step it to a 780ti.

IMO, you should really SLI at that resolution. With 2 780's/r9 290's/770's, youll crush that resolution with the highest settings. If youre totally against SLI/CFX, you picked a great monitor for it: G-Sync is the cat's meow from everything Ive read and even a single 780 will give you a "smooth" experience even when frames drop under 60. I wouldnt stress about the 90fps+ mark

Thanks for taking the time to answer guys , this helped, the reason i don't want SLI is because i have X-fi Titanium HD next to my graphics card, and there is no space for another gpu, i do stuff with sound and music so its equally important. :) I'll take more suggestions if there are any :) Maybe a mobo with more space?

If money is no object and you are okay with overclocking, these beasts might do

1. Asus Matrix Platinum ( 6oo pounds)
2. Evga Classified Kingpin Version ( 650 pounds)
3. Inno3d 780 ti DHS iChill Herculez (600 pounds)

All of these are 780 ti's and have at least a base clock of 1020, can easily hit clock speeds of over 1200, especially the Kingpin and the Matrix Platinum ( but these cards are for people who have a lot of money, or plan to overclock it to the sky)
