I have been using my GTX 770 since it first came out, I usually sit at the 1150 Boost. my card rarely goes over 79 Degrees. Is there any true benefit to overclocking this card. If its only a 1-2 FPS gain I don't see the needs for it but if there is a 3-5 FPS gain I feel it may be worth it.

Anyone have any experience with this or any ideas for me.

More about : gtx 770 worth overclocking

There is always a benefit to overclocking...but sometimes it falls within diminishing returns. I'd recommend checking out some benchmarks of OC 770's vs stock, and then make a value decision if its worth the additional heat/fan noise for you.

I personally have overclocked my gt 540m like 20mhz higher and I got an extra 7-10fps in portal 2.

I have not had any luck finding a good comparison. Any links that can help me?

79 degrees is pretty hot. Kepler starts to throttle back clock speed somewhere in the range. I think you have actually reached your limit at 1150 MHz.

Other pages in the review show a larger suite of benchmarks at it's stock (still OC at factory) settings.

Depends on if the noise is worth it more like it. My card runs at 70% fan speed and 71c peak temp overclocked. Speeds are...
1403Mhz GPU Clock
7410Mhz Memory Clock
Voltage is 1243Mv
It gives me about 16-25 more FPS with games running on ultra, some don't fully load the GPU. But it goes from 21db to about 46db under load. So if you use speakers or a headset that won't be a problem. However, do your research before overclocking any specific component. I also don't recommend it if its not going to be useful. If you cant tell the difference between 40 and 60 FPS, and your games run at 45 FPS, its not worth it.
