Is this the right CPU?

That's the build my friend gave me. He knows his stuff but I just wanted to make sure the GPU and mostly the CPU are right for what I want to do.

I want to record and stream, mostly stream in the future with this build so is this the right choice.

I would go with a 2x4gb kit for the RAM to take advantage of dual channel. Unless you plan to get a second RAM module in the near future.

Also, you don't need A "Z" series motherboard as the i3 can't be overclocked. 1155 is a dead socket so all the processors that will ever be available for it are on the market now. I'd either change to a "H" series mobo or to CPU that can be OC'd like the i5 "k" models.
