Hello Toms Hardware!
i have a build thats in need of a GPU Upgrade this card is starting to stress on newer games and falls short in newer games i only upgrade things once every 2 years and i want at least 1 to 2 years of future proof in my GPU

i play games like Borderlands 2, Watch Dogs, Titanfall, Saints Row, Battlefield and some other decently demanding games

I only have a 1080p monitor and probably wont upgrade my monitor any time soon

i would like to play games at Ultra or at least High

My System Specs:
MOBO: Asus M5 A97 R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-8350
RAM: 12GB DDR3 1600MHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 660 Superclocked 2GB
PSU: Corsair CX600M 600w 80+ Bronze
SSD: 240GB Kingston HyperX 3k
HDD: 1TB 5400RPM HDD

i am going to get the 4GB edition of the card
Should i get the GTX 760 or spend a little more to get the 770?
I cant to SLI because of the MOBO only having 4x on the second PCI-E slot

so i need a single card solution :D  thanks!

Get the gtx 770 it can max every game out at 1080P.

I don't recommend getting the 4GB version save the money and get the 2GB version because the 4GB models are a gimmick.

Well i think the 4GB shouldnt be a bad way to go because even titanfall needs 3GB of VRAM to play at the highest textures

Get the 770's 4 gig version. Games are trending towards utilizing >2GB of RAM (BF4, Watch Dogs, Black Flag etc) and you wouldn't want to be bothered by low VRAM issues in the future once you make this investment.
Also, probably the biggest reason you should get the 4 gig version is GTA V. It is coming this fall and I won't believe anyone who says it would accommodate 2 gig cards on ultra or even high.

If your playing the games with the larger maps, I'd certainly go with 3gb or better. Large maps need a lot of memory to process. The small maps and older games, I wouldn't worry about. I'd use the GTX660 you've got. It's a good card. But you're listing Battlefield and Titanfall and those are some real monsters. With a 2gb card, you'd have to drop the details in textures to get the best frame rates and you'd be contending with a lot of heat. Sure, most of the latest cards are made to run as high as 96c but who wants to run those kind of temps on 2gb? The graphic card technology will automatically down clock as a fail safe from crashing. No, with quickness and agility needed in a full time criteria, you don't want to choke it off. There are 64 guys just as hungry to take your tags as you are them, you're going to want the 3gbs to keep them honest. I'd agree with delta_pak and MadMetalGuy.

Don't waste your time with a 760 4GB, if you want a 4GB model of a card then go with the EVGA GTX 770 4GB w/ ACX http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E5AEIKE. If you could push for a 780 that would be a much better route but the 770 4GB is a nice choice on a budget.

Couple years ago, that GTX 660 ti was the must have card. I'd go to Best Buy and I swear I'm seeing droll marks and thief alarms on all the 3 & 4 gb stuff. The boxes they came in were smushie and had well rounded corners from being over handled. It was like a forbidden Christmas looking at the stacks of video cards staring back at you. Lol.
