hey guys i'm currently overclocking my i5 4670k paired with a msi g45 gaming mobo. i have it stable at 4.4ghz cpu frequency at 1.278v and my cache requency at stock (3.4ghz on auto volts). i can't seem to get my 4.4ghz overclock stable at anything above 3.4ghz cache frequency. when i turn on oc genie which auto overclocks my cpu it sets my cpu at 4.0ghz and cache at 3.8ghz and is stable. so my question is; whats better: higher cpu frequency with lower cache frequency, or a lower cpu frequency with an equal to near equal cache frequency. i've been told that a 1:1 ratio is ideal, but is it worth it at the expense of a lower cpu frequency overclock??????

Solution
higher cpu > higher cache especially since cache speeds got increased with haswell

you may need to bump input voltage a bit and cache voltage in order to get cache to OC while the core is also OC
