I have a couple of year old HP desktop with I7 and hd7670 vid card, I have tried everything possible, clean install paid software to update drivers, I am trying to play some of the newer games and it says I need AMD 14-4 as does the amd website, but I cannot get it to install, I have gone through all the hidden folders and deleted amd/ati everything but still wont install, I have used the uninstall tool from amd but then computer wont reboot, tried safe mode tried to hold my tongue to the left, nothing, searched a million websites followed all that was said to do as I pulled out my hair (not a noob but no formal training either) but nothing so I just look at the money I spent on these games and this computer and go wtf......is there someone that can help me !! I am starting to believe that the vid card just sucks and amd and hp just let me down, everything says my pc should be able to handle these games but says need to update vid card to at least 14-4 and oh yea I tried the beta 14-6 and no go ...please someone smarter then me help.

Try:
Uninstall driver and Catalyst
Run CCleaner (free online download)
Reboot
Install latest driver

There might be some registry entries causing the issue.

I see this where the game tells you you need to update the driver but when you go tio amd and read the footnotes of the driver the game are not listed for support so did you run the game to see if it don't play at all or poorly with the driver you got installed ? cause if you look up 14.xx here at toms there a lot of issues with that driver and you may be screwed all around

don't think its amd I use there card with no issues but you got to remember your also dealing with hp and it may be that if the parts or software is not from them it may be blocked in some way [???] my amd drivers are as easy as pie to install or uninstall

Thanks for you help Monkey I guess I am just superglued to what I can play until HP sets out an update that might fix this, and it really pisses me off because I have recommended HP to a lot of my friends as it truly is a respectable machine for audio and video editing and I use that alot also have no problem streaming etc.... but I just feel like there has to be a way to hack a bypass or something to update card and it is just eating at me like cancer but I truly believe that I have tried everything.....unless someone knows something I do not and is willing to share...moooohaaahaaahaa...problem is HP techs do not know nor does AMD so I guess i will just stay stuck.
P.S.
I can play everygame but two and they probably are not that great but the fact I cannot play them wants me to play them even more....lol...but on the real Thanks.
