Please Kingston V300 on my Asus Maximus Hero VI

Friends i have a Kingston V300 SSD for my Operating Sistem,so i am not sure wich one its the best Sata port for this ssd on my Asus Maximus Hero VI,please some one can tell me???and please explain me whish mode i have to put hem, AHCPI or IDE,honestly i dont now...Any help will help...thanks

Hello, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support and would like to offer our assistance. It would be best to leave the SATA mode to AHCI as that will allow the drive to fully function. Also, it is best to connect the drive to the native SATA ports as the add-on or 3rd party SATA ports do not always provide the full bandwidth. On your motherboard the native ports would be the Intel ports labeled SATA6G_1-6 per your motherboard manual. For any further assistance, please call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you.
