If it's only for gaming you only need an i5-4690K and to save a bit of money you could get a CM Hyper 212 EVO. The watercooler isn't going to perform any better unless you get one with a larger radiator.

No need for water cooling, far better HDD and unless you really need 2TB now, just add another one later. Smaller PSU, you don't need a 750W.
I'd stick with the 290 over the 280x, if you check this review and look at the stock 290 vs 280x, nearly every benchmark is 10+fps better, and the gap is larger when they crank up the settings.

I've got a 770 which is about equal to a 280x and I can't play at 1080p with everything ultra in all games. Don't get me wrong, I get pretty close, but sometimes those ultra settings just elude me.

As for SSD's I just stick with Samsung EVO but the toms recommendations are probably worth a read.
