which RAM is compatible

I m using HP pavilion 15 260tx..
I m looking to upgrade my RAM but don't knw which one will b compatible and best performing..
specs- i3 4010u (4th gen)
. win 8.1 64bit
. 4gb DDR3L @ 1600mhz

if you cannot find the exact RAM, you can use other RAM but its technical specs have to match the one you have now.

U mean it should be 1600mhz? And DDR3? Will this suffice?

No you listed in your original post the it is DDR3L memory which means that it is low power memory.

let's say DDR3 uses 1.5V then DDR3L uses only 1.35V.

you should not mix them.

get the model number of the memory you have in right now and google the specs then find memory that wil match that.

you want to make sure that the Voltage, Speed , and Clock Cycles are the same.
