The cooler on my CPU crapped out (has a proprietary fan that I can't replace) so I was going to get the Scythe Ashura as it is the only cooler I could find that I like, however how can I find out if it will fit with my motherboard. I am worried that the x58 chipset is going to get in the way.

Scythe Ashura: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/scythe-cpu-cooler-scasr100...

PC Part Picker says they are compatible, but just to test the site I added a GTX Titan and a 350W power supply and it said they were fine too, so I hardly trust their verdict.

Oh come on, everyone knows a 350 can run a Titan ;)  Yes, partpicker has it's faults - just one of the reasons I don't use it...anywho, the Scythe Ashura is fine w/ 1366 mobos, so no problem there.

Well, it looks like its gonna go over the backside of the chipset, which would be fine if the pipes on the Ashura raise it high enough for it not to touch the chipset heatsink. I cannot however find how high the pipes raise the fins :/  . Looks like I may just buy one and return it if it doesn't fit... It would be nice if manufacturers provided pictures with full dimensions and not just block dimensions.

You can see on this image the slope it has to clear. http://www.modreactor.com/images/stories/news/2008/Nove...
