Is an SSD worth it for my gaming build?

I'm currently working on a mid priced gaming build and I am curious as to whether or not it is worth putting a SSD in it. Here is my build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/vbzyt6 I'm looking at putting the 120GB Samsung 840 EVO into it. I would not want to put a larger one in. I suppose my two main questions are: What would I put on it besides the OS? Is it really worth the money?

It just depends. It looks like you're trying to keep your price down, so in that sense, no it's probably not worth it. At 120GB, you don't want to load it down too much besides the OS. On my primary 120GB SSD, I have my OS and Adobe CS6 suite. That's all I put on it, so it won't get filled up.

With gaming, the only thing SSD does for you is give you faster load time on maps/levels...it won't increase performance otherwise.

Just a couple thoughts.

It will give you faster loading times, not frames. If you are impatient then buy one, BF4 takes a little over a minute with a normal HDD, and about 14 seconds with an SSD, so it's really up to you. The only advantage is that you get into the game faster, if you dont have an SSD the other team will cap the flags way before you entered the game.

An SSD will load your OS quicker. If its big enough, you can also put games on it and they'll load quicker.

Its up to you to figure out whether its worth it. I use a 120gb ssd just for my OS. It loads Windows in about 20 secs compared to 2 mins for a HDD.

You would put any games that you play consistently on it. The only thing it does for your system is decrease the time spent waiting for games or the OS to load up, and between any levels or where any major loading occurs. If you don't mind waiting 20 seconds instead of 6 or so, then don't bother spending the money. If that is something that you would appreciate, then go ahead.

Thank you everyone, like you guys have mentioned and as was my understanding it won't improve game performance, just loading. In addition for 120 Gb I won't be loading on much more then a OS. This will give me some things to think about. Thank you!
