I currently have (4) 4GB sticks of 1600 MHz G2 series Patriot Memory (9-9-9-24 @ 1.65v). I'm currently looking at the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 motherboard to go with a AMD FX-8350 processor. Is my current ram compatible with this motherboard? If so, what memory configuration would you recommend?

On a side note, can anyone suggest a power supply that's powerful enough and of good quality for this set-up?

Thanks!

Your RAM is compatible. It should not be a problem at all. The FX CPUs only start to struggle when you get 16GB with higher frequency like 1866+. 4x4GB @1600 should be easy enough. Let me know if it gives you a problem and I'll help you tweak it.

Right now the EVGA Supernova G2 is all the rave. It's built on the Super Flower Leadex platform with 10 year warranty which means it's going to last. How much wattage you need depends on your GPUs and whether or not you are an overclocker.
