Sorry this is probably a super basic question. I think I already have my answer but I do not know if it is the best option.
I just purchased a Netgear N7000, pretty excited for it to come in with all of the speed increases I will see.
However, I am lost on how to best network my desktop computer. Unfortunately, Ethernet connection is not possible right now so I will need to go wireless. I have only really seen two options: the Intel, and the Asus. I would like to take advantage of my new router as much as possible, so would the Asus be the best option? It sure is expensive.
It seems that the Asus is the only option that provides AC1900 unless I purchased a second router to use in bridge mode, which seems excessive. Another issue is that I own an Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard. I believe that it only has two PCI express slots. I already am using one with a video card. If I were to buy this wireless adapter I would be unable to SLI my card in the future.
Thanks a lot!
