How can I format my HDD except for Windows?

So I'm selling my homebuilt PC and I need to get rid of everything (games, personal files, pics, etc.) so he has a clean slate.

There's gotta be a way to do this without the windows CD (i lost it)

you'll need to boot up using a linux disk to wipe everything

as far as I know you can;t wipe winodws partition from inside windows

you can also selectively wipe stuff using various file deletion programs

you don;t need to buy anything

just use pendrive linux, downlaod a linux OS, laod it onto a usb drive, and then format everything

if you need to give windows away as well, it becomes more trouble some
