Hi All

Just about to build my first PC since 2008 been using Macs. The only case I've found that I like is the NZXT H440 in white. Many PC cases IMO are just awful.

Only issue is this case doesn't have room for an optical drive. This doesn't concern me too much and I know there's Steam etc but I quite fancy being able to pick up games on offer from the likes of Amazon, such as Borderlands 2.

If I buy the DVD, can I just copy the files to a USB stick and install the game? If I can I could use a no CD EXE from there but is there any tool to do this?

Thanks guys

Should be possible.

If outright ripping the files from CD/DVD to a USB doesnt work, creating a .ISO file from the CD/DVD and mounting it via Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools (basically makes a virtual optical drive, with the .ISO being the disc) will probably work.
Of course, you could skip all that and just get yourself an external optical drive.

As for modifying the game to work without a CD...
This topic is already awfully close to piracy since its very similar methods. Modifying the game to run without a CD (if it requires one) is called cracking, and is a way of getting around DRM. We cant help with that here.

Thanks. Yeah I realise it's cracking. Will probably just buy an external drive just thought there might have been some software to enable the legal transfer to USB.

Anyway cheers.
