The R9 280 gives an extra 5 FPS or so average on games like Crysis 3 1080P ultra. Plus that extra 1GB of VRAM will help in future games. Also that extra 20W is not much of a difference :)

Corsair Vs series are meant for home office purpose and not for gaming so under load they will not work well so its better if you switch to seaonic ,xfx or corsair RM,TX series they are good and apart from your psu you have a decent build.. :)

Right now, I don't see why there is a problem with your rig. really balanced, nice build there :) The only thing you could do would either be upgrade the GPU to an R9 280 or upgrade processor to 8320. But then again, that would cost slightly more.

But then again unfortunately the prices for the R9 280 aren't too good in Australia :p So the other option is a GTX 760. Which would give 5 FPS or so more on average than the 270x but costs $50 more.
