uninstall/deselect the mods, that is the most likely cause of your problem. update your drivers (motherboard, display and sound) to the latest.

First of all: activate your Antivirus (in this case Avast! or any other AV) again to be on the safe side! It is extremely rare that you would ever need to turn off AV for problems like this. In any case you should have a AV running.

As you haven't provided with any info about your hardware in this thread, it is not possible to help your more then in general terms. We would need to know more about your hardware to tell anything about driver issues.

Is this a Skyrim Legandary version you run with Steam client or is it installed from DVD?

Have you made any attempt to tweak or change any INI files or the likes in Skyrim game folder?

Run Windows Update to make sure that everything have been updated from MS including those drivers that MS do support.

Go to your nVidia or AMDs site for video card (if you have a discrete video card) to update your video card drivers. Make sure that you first clean out your older drivers according to recommendation from those sites before you start to install new ones.

Go to Nexus Mods site: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/?

Follow some instruction on both how to install and in which load order. "Gopher" is a well known user that are to be found on both Nexus and Youtube where he provide very good guides to pick mods and how to use them for Skyrim.

start with the basics, disable the mods first and see if the game runs, i am 99% sure that will be your problem. Drivers for the video card you can get from the nvidia or AMD website depending on what video card you have, motherboard drivers you get from your motherboard manufacturers website. You download them, then run the setup/installer.
