Hello everyone . I was playing Watch Dogs , when suddenly my PC freezed . I restarted the pc but it didn't open . Monitor was going to power save mode and there was no display . It work fine with motherboard vga slot .

So i though my GPU is dead . Applied for RMA , got new gpu and when i put it back on system , then i got similar problem . No output from monitor . So i thought it can me motherboard issue . I have a spare nvidia 8400gs that i tested and computer is running fine . So i concluded that i got faulty gpu . I gave it back to the service centre and they tested it and called me and said that GPU is running fine . I really dont have any idea which component is not working correctly .

So please help me sort out this problem .

I would agree that all this points towards the PSU, Have you got good airflow ? is there a dust filter on the PSU that's clogged up and sending temperatures to high ? a 560 ti is probably putting a strain on the system where as an 8400GS can be powered with a 9V battery (Obviously it cant but its to make a point)

Maximum GPU Temperature (in C) 99 C 97 C
Maximum Graphics Card Power (W) 170 W 210 W
Minimum System Power Requirement (W) 500 W 550 W
Supplementary Power Connectors Two 6-pin Two 6-pin

Also a 560 TI is recommended to have 30Amps and your Corsair 450 had 34Amps single rail when it was new, its probably degraded below the requirements.

Intel i3 2120
gigabyte H61 ds2
8 Gb DDr3 ram
PSU - Corsair Vs 450
Nvidia 560ti
window 8.1 64bit

It points to the psu but I cant be 100% sure that is the psu. That psu is a low quality unit and if it's used like that for 1.5 years the caps have probably degraded and hence outputting a much lower wattage then when initially purchased

I suggest to get it tested or if you have a spare psu swap it and see

Does this occur with all games or only Watch dogs ?

There was symptoms before of hardware failure . Computer was turning off during Gaming and monitor was going to power saving mode . But it did open after turning off . But while Playing Watch dogs , Pc Freezed , so i restarted but it didn't start . Though GPU , CPU and system fan is working normally .

That looks like a failing psu to me

Can you try some other games and see what happens ?
