For reasons unknown to me my router's reach is terrible. What could be the cause, and how can I fix it? I have a tp link wr740n wifi router loaded with stock firmware .The router is currently placed on the second floor (2000sqft).
This is where i placed my router currently .
(Sorry for my english !)

If you have a spare router, you can set it up as a wireless extension by connecting it to your main router (I found BT Hubs don't work like this).
