Hi,

Currently running the above on a z97 sabertooth mark 2 and an 850 watt corsair modular PSU.
Also a coolermaster 212 evo. Temps dont peak past 60 on stressful games e.g far cry 3/bf4. Not ran prime 95 but i dont really feel the need to as no game i own puts 100% load on all 4 cores.

Thusfar ive been able to hit 4.4 ghz with a voltage of 1.3.

100 bclk and 46 ratio.

I cant seem to go higher without a more thorough test setup which ill be doing soon.... 4.6 ghz BSODs and im not comfortable with a higher voltage.

What have other people achieved?

Cheers.

I managed 4.6ghz on my 4670k at 1.235v with 62 degrees peak load temp so you must be able to go higher

Im not so sure. What config are you using? Just the CPU ratio and Blck? Or the RAM also? XMP?

It would appear that the 4690 requires a higher voltage.

just the cpu multiplier raised and the ram is 1600 I have xmp enabled (hyperxblack)
turn the eist and turbo boost off as well as the c-states and make sure you voltage is fixed and not adaptive

arctic cooling i30 with mx-4 paste

us on i5 chips don't have hyper threading but generally it is turned off for overclocking on the i7's
