Hi guys,
So I recently built a computer, about a two weeks ago. About 4 times since then it has crashed while I've been gaming, as in the power button stays lit up but the fans all go off and I hear a buzzing/interference through my headphones. I cut the power, then when I try to turn it back on, there's no power up at all - the power button won't light up, no fans on, nothing. Every time, I reconeect the front I/O connectors and make sure all the cables are pushed in properly, and after about ten/fifteen minutes of this it turns on a works perfectly normally again. Do you think it's a cooling problem, or something else? I'm not overclocking at all but it always seems to be happening while gaming. I did find in my last look inside the case that the cpu cooler was not properly seated in the mobo, as in a bi wobbly and not all the legs were down rigidly into the mobo - could this be it?
My build:
i5 4590
r9 270x
8gb ram
as rock h81m mobo
stock cooler
2 case fans (front and back) in Cooler Master n200 case
EVGA 500W ATX12V / EPS12V power supply
+hard drive, optical drive
Thanks very much
