Solution
Yes they are compatible.

Since your motherboard has a PCI Express x16 2.0 (PCI-E x 16) slot you just have to look at the graphics card manufacturer's site to see if it connects to a PCI-E x16.

Old graphics cards and motherboards connect by AGP but that was quite some time ago and was phased out in favor of PCI-E.

You should also look at the power requirements for the graphics card to see if you power supply meets the requirements since graphics cards, especially high end ones, need more power to run and connect to PCI-E power connectors.

There are also graphics cards that support PCI-E 3.0. You can use those graphics cards on your motherboard since it is backwards compatible to PCI-E 2.0. Your motherboard is compatible to modern graphics cards even the ones that are just sold in the market.
