pc very slow

Hello everyone , 5 months ago i build myself a gaming ig with 8 gigs of ram a 500 gb hdd a 600 watt corsair psu a asus gtx 650ti and a amd athlon x4 760 k , yesterday my pc suddenly gor very slow , i cant open anything , normally skype opens when my pc boots but now it doesnt , someone please help me

it seems like a virus or malware issue scan your pc with a good original antivirus updated one obviously ....

First of all , thanks a lot for responding , i opened up my pc and im hearing a crunching sound from my hdd

I reboot my pc , ckdsk is checking my drive and it found damaged clusters , is this whats causing the problem?

yes, if it a hdd error, it will cause slow startup, sound like you will need to replace it asap. so backup all your important data asap before the hdd fail.

So i call the store i got my hdd from , go there , tell them the problem and get a new hdd ?
