Yes i have a DC 7800 CMT from HP and bought a Seidon 120v water cooling system..Says its supports my socket type which is LGA775 but i am wondering is it compatible with my computers mother board...i have no clue what kind of motherboard i have!

The mounting holes for the cooler are a universal specification from Intel for the 775. The Seidon mounting plate should work without any problems. You will need to remove the motherboard if the case doesn't have a motherboard tray cutout behind the CPU socket to install the Seidon 120V. Also, you should check if there are any transistors/other IC's behind the CPU socket (on the underside of the motherboard) as ones that are in unusual locations can interfere with the CPU cooler backplate on aftermarket products.

You're right, that's not an intel spec 775 socket configuration. Not only are the holes for the cooler mounting differently spaced (looks closer to an AMD spec), that rotated CPU socket won't work with any liquid cooler that I know of. If you measured the spacing of the holes in millimeters, you might be able to find out if an AMD cooler bracket or Intel LGA 771 bracket would work for an air cooler since some (like the cooler master hyper 212 etc etc) can rotate on their mounts which would make it a possible fit.

Yep, unless those holes line up to the AMD bracket spacing, there will have to be some type of custom adapter plate.
The motherboard form factor is BTX so you can't replace it with an aftermarket unit or use an aftermarket motherboard in the case. I've run into the same problem a bunch of times with old dells.
