Hi,

Yesterday i have installed Asus GTX 750 Ti on my motherboard. This Graphic card is really good it does not required any 4-6-8pins power supply, It take the power from PCIe.
My system specification:
Intel G35 Motherboard
6GB DDR2 Ram
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz Processor
Asus GTX 750 Ti (with a minimum 12V current rating of 20A)
Odyssey 450Watt Computer Power Supply SMPS

After installation, Within 2 minute of game play (watch dog) i heard short circuit kind of noise and then the system turns off. It smells like burning, immediately i switched off the power and removed the graphic card and checked for all component of system for any damage or burn.
Luckily found no damage on any component except the PSU.

Just i want to know.
Is this happens because of cheap PSU.
Is this happens because of PCIe 3.0 X16 Graphic card on PCIe 1.0 slot.
or The graphic card is faulty.
Or my System specification are not meeting with the Graphic card requirement.

This video shows how the fifa 09 works on my PC after installing Asus GTX 750 Ti. This game works fine on Zotac 9400GT.
Is this a game problem or Graphic Card problem.
Please let me know, if this is a graphic card problem.

Solution
This is purely the problem of a wost possible quality PSU, with horrible capacitors and usually able to deliver only the half of their rated power. Nothing else. You are lucky if nothing else got burned. Get yourself a nice XFX 550w and call it a day.

Solution

From TOMS HW most recent build a PC tutorial:

Although it doesn't get its fair share of recognition, the power supply is the single most critical component for system stability and longevity. We've seen cheap models literally go up in flames, taking out several key pieces of hardware in the process

Everyone is right. It took me a few tries to realize this. My roomates older computer had a Bestek (absolutely aweful) that came with it and it lasted a couple years. I unknowingly replaced it with another new identical one and it maybe lasted a year. So I replaced it with a higher powered one that was 35$ thinking by the fancy name it was better than the 20$ Bestek. This one in 4 months ... well, the machine was off and I was in line of sight of the machine and had the side off of it, and all of a sudden I see a FireWork show. Loud crackling and sparks flying out the side that was like 15 BlackCats going off. LUCKILY this did not damage the MB, processor, or memory or catch the house on fire. Bought another one for 65$ that is still going after two years and has had great reviews. I would do some research on the top rated midpriced, or higher priced if you can afford it. <:0)

Because this game works fine on Zotac 9400GT and Not on Asus GTX 750 Ti.

Which PSU best suite to Asus GTX 750 Ti:
(500-550Watt)
Cooler Master Thunder 500W 500 Watts PSU
Corsair VS550 550 Watt PSU
Corsair SMPS CX500 500 Watts PSU

(450W)
Cooler Master Thunder 450W 450 Watts PSU
Corsair VS450 450 Watt PSU

Or any PSU whatever you guys suggest.
