Hi guys,
I am planning to buy a r9 280x Toxic. the main problem in facing is the power supply.
My current pc specs are -
Processor - AMD FX6100
GPU - MSI RADEON HD 6770 ( Gonna remove it when i upgrade)
RAM - 2x4gb evm & 1x8gb Corsair Vengence
Motherboard - Asus M5A97
HDD - 1x1TB & 1x2TB & (1x111GB laptop hdd) all WD
optical drive - samsung
Fans - 1x 140mm & 8 x 120mm LED
Cabinet - Cooler Master Storm Trooper.
PSU- VIP 600W
so, im confused.. on the official site, its written 750W is the requirement. on the forums its written, 620W is more than enough,
and in one forum i read that the full system will blow if i use 600W.
One more thing,
the gpu requires 2 x 8 pin connectors. I have two extra SMPS - one is - 280W VIP, other is (mini atx cabinet) 400W circle.
So, is it possible that i connect one 8 pin to my primary 600W psu and other 8 pin to one of the secondary psu????? If yes, then which of the secondary psu should i select??
Im really trying my best to avoid getting a new high powered psu. they are so expensive! (corsair RM1000)
THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS....!!!!! ;-)
